Cable Crew Spotlight: Amanda Withington, Technical Implementation Manager

Welcome to the first post in our new Cable Crew Spotlight series, where we feature the team members driving Cable forward. This series will highlight the people behind the scenes, their experiences, and the work they do to help shape Cable’s success.

We’re starting with Amanda Withington, our Technical Implementation Manager. Amanda joined Cable driven by a passion for innovation and a desire to keep learning. She was drawn to the opportunity to work in a new space with a talented team, and her contributions reflect her commitment to solving real challenges for our customers.

In this post, Amanda shares what brought her to Cable, her experiences working with customers, and what keeps her motivated day-to-day.

What brought you to Cable, and what keeps you excited about your work here?

What initially brought me to Cable was my deep passion for innovation, desire to always be learning, and the people. Cable is the first in its space and using technology to solve problems and I find that super exciting. It’s a new space for me and I felt like it would be the place I would learn the most and be the most challenged. I was also really drawn to Cable because of the people. Seeing two women co-founders leading the charge in the finance world was incredibly inspiring to me. It spoke to the type of forward-thinking environment I was looking to be a part of.

Beyond that, the Operating System at Cable aligns well with how I work. It prioritizes clarity, efficiency, and collaboration, which are key to driving real results, and the people here truly embody those values. It’s the combination of a strong mission, talented individuals, and a system I believe in that keeps me excited about the work we do every day.

What’s your proudest achievement at Cable so far?

I am most proud of jumping into a new space, learning, and working with the various teams to provide assurance for our customers. I really enjoy working with customers to understand their systems, processes, and challenges and then bringing our team together to find ways to solve those problems and present a solution that will help.

What’s a typical day like for you in your role at Cable?

My days focus on moving customers through the onboarding process and making sure both customers and Cable teams know what is happening, what is next, and how we all get there. This can be anything from kick offs, to understanding a customer’s onboarding process, digging into data issues, or doing a training session on the product with a customer looking at their results.

How do you think Cable is making a difference in the industry?

Cable is the first in this space and uses technology to change the way compliance and accountability works in the finance sector. It is increasing speed, awareness and the ability to act in a data-driven way to ensure confidence in a company’s compliance and control effectiveness. I think it’s exciting to see customers gain this speed, awareness and knowledge especially when it’s been so manual (or unknown) before.

How would you describe the culture at Cable in three words?

Fast. Kind. Clear.

Who at Cable has been a big influence on you, and how have they helped shape your experience here?

I think everyone I have met has had an influence on me and shaped my experience here. We are a small team and everyone has something to offer. I feel I am learning from all about this work, how to address it, how to prioritize things, and how to best support everyone each step of the way. Everyone is working so hard on a daily basis and with everyone being so kind, I too want to respond in a similar way.

If you could switch roles with anyone at Cable for a day, who would it be and why?

Any engineer! I would love to have the knowledge of all of the data and technical details so I could better support them and bridge any gaps between our processes and the customers' experiences.

What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?

Trail runs! I love the fall air and going out on a trail and simply exploring with hopes I can find my way back.

If you weren’t working in this industry, what career would you pursue and why?

Same type of role, public sector. I want to be somewhere where I can help to solve problems and have an impact and I think there’s so much room for technology to drive huge improvements in the public sector - both exciting and overwhelming.

If you could travel anywhere in the world tomorrow, where would you go, and what’s the first thing you’d do?

Antarctica - it looks fascinating! I would love to go kayaking there.
